How to create a Patient record

2 min read

The Patient module can be used to manage the different individuals (whether these are Patients OR Members) but whose health you want to help improve. We do assume that you have the consent of the Patient/Member to be added to Videoreach. Please note that currently in Release 1 of Videoreach, you can either create Patient records manually by following the steps below or by loading them in bulk. If you have a custom need such as integrating with your EHR, please contact us and we can build a customized solution for you. We will have this as a standard option in our newer releases.

To create a Patient record in Videoreach, these are the steps to follow:

  1. Login to your Videoreach account by going to www.videoreach.run.
  1. Once logged in, click on the Patient menu item on the top right.
  1. Search for the Patient record first to ensure you or any other users have not created the record already. You can search by First Name and/or Last Name.
  1. If the Patient record is not found, click on Add Patient button.
  1. Enter the following details about the Patient:
    1. First Name
    1. Last Name
    1. Date of Birth
    1. Sex
    1. Phone (this is where the Videoreach messages will be sent)
    1. Email (this is where the Videoreach messages will be sent)
    1. Preferred Channel (how you want the Patients to receive the Videoreach messages). For now, you can ONLY pick one option. It is best that you have confirmed with the Patient.
    1. Language
    1. Ethnicity
  1. Click Add button
  1. You will be landed on a Patient details page. Here you will find the details you entered, as well as some other information like when the Patient record was created, how many programs the Patient is enrolled in, and how many Programs the Patient has responded to.
  1. As per the above, it is ALSO assumed that the Patient has already given consent to receive Videoreach messages. If not, Patients can mark this as inactive.
  1. That’s it! :) You have successfully created a new Patient record in Videreach.
